  • Fernando Pulidori Prize

The Fernando Pulidori Prize was awarded to Matteo Savastano from the University of Florence, presenting the paper entitled: “Thermodynamics of Anion−π Interactions in Aqueous Solution” J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2013, 135, 102−105.

The winner will take part at ISMEC2015 with the registration free of charge and will be awarded a prize of 200 €. Moreover, Matteo Savastano will  present the winning work at the award ceremony.


General rules for the Fernando Pulidori Prize:

This year the 8th edition of the Fernando Pulidori Prize (Fernando Pulidori [1928-2007]) will take place. The prize will be awarded to a young researcher, author of an original paper published during 2013-2015 or accepted for publication at the dead time of application.

  • Candidates should be not more than 35 years old on December 31st 2015, PhD students
    or grantees at a University or Research Centre.
  • Candidates should present a copy of the paper in PDF format together with a curriculum vitae and summary of scientific activity (maximum two pages) in PDF, DOC, or DOCX format.

Applicants must be registered online and then send the required documents to the organizing committee (ismec2015@chem.uni.wroc.pl) before March 31st, 2015.

Submitted applications will be evaluated by The Scientific Committee of ISMEC2015. Committee will take into account the scientific impact of the paper, its originality and innovative character in the field
of thermodynamics and kinetics of complexes in solution, and evaluate the significant contribution of the applicants to the research.

Feedback on the application will be provided by 30.04.2015.


  • Best Poster Award

The Best Poster Award will be awarded to the two most outstanding posters presented during poster session at the conference ISMEC 2015. All presented posters will be reviewed by an international panel of scientists.

Committee will take into account:

  • Creativity and originality
  • Level of completion of the work
  • Ability of the presenter to explain the work

Award-winning authors will receive an award certificate and one copies of the Royal Society of Chemistry Metal Ions in Life Sciences book series.
